I had a Dental Convention in Salt Lake, so we decided to take a quick family trip to Utah. We had a blast! It was beautiful weather and we were able to catch up with some of our favorite people, the Palmer's. We had a hilarious hotel experience.
We also use Priceline, and the last probably four or five times we've used it we've ended up in a Marriot. So, to our surprise we ended up with a reservation at the Perry Hotel. It looked like a quaint little place when we pulled up. But going inside was a different story. I wish I loved old school stuff, but I got the creepiest feeling ever when I walked inside of there. Everything was so old, they had weird music playing and the employee's were a little off. We got into our room and we just looked at each other with our amused faces and tried to settle in. I told Mitch that I would be him $100 this place is haunted. So, we googled it. Sure enough, this place is totally haunted! While I was reading all of these creepy reviews, our TV started dimming black. The sound would stay on but the picture would turn black for about a minute then it would fade back on. It did this for a total of 15 minutes and I was officially freaked out. I told Mitch there is NO way I would be staying here tonight. We were meeting the Palmer's for dinner, so he said we would decide what to do when we got back. As we were leaving, Mitch asked one of the employee's if the hotel was legitimately haunted. I kid you not, he turned around and in the creepiest voice possible said, "If you believe in that sort of thing." UMMM OK... We both busted a gut for the next 20 minutes.... So, we had a fabulous dinner at City Creek with our friends and eventually made our way back to this delightful hotel. It was almost 11 and I took one look at it in the dark and said, freak no. I couldn't even bring myself to go inside. So, my loving husband when inside and told them that his silly wife wouldn't stay here because she thought it was haunted. They told him that 3 weeks prior they had ghost hunters come and they 100% confirmed this place is haunted.
They taped voices in the basement and kitchen of the hotel and had other paranormal activities during their hunt. SOOOO across the street to the Sheraton we went. Best decision of my life ;) Other then our hotel dilemma, we had a wonderful time, and can't wait for our next trip to Utah.
ZOO DAY!
Good nights rest at the Sheraton ;)
