1 Month New

I cannot believe our Brikelle has been here an entire month! People weren't kidding when they said they grow up too fast... And growing is exactly what this child is doing. I tried putting her in a newborn outfit yesterday (which she hasn't even worn yet) and the snaps would not do up! I managed to get one snap done, but it popped open two seconds later. So my newborn is officially not a newborn anymore. We love this little munchkin more than life itself and we're so glad she's ours. Here's what she's been up to this past month...

*She's been to Idaho twice already and travels like a champ

*B LOVES her car seat! She doesn't love the buckling up part, but once she's in, we're golden.

*She loves her stroller and we love taking walks in this beautiful weather we've been having.

*She's PERFECT during the day, then right when daddy comes home she's a bit of a fusser. I think she knows if she fusses enough, he will bounce her until she is calm. (she just likes to be bounced and knows daddy will do anything for his baby girl) she's a smart one I tell ya

*She sleeps pretty good in the night, only waking up at 3 and 6. There have been a couple of nights when she's slept clear until 5 or 6, skipping her 3 o'clock feeding.

 This would be amazing, except I automatically wake up at 3, only to find her fast asleep. I sit and wonder why she's not waking up and making sure she's still breathing

*Yes, I still wake up at every sound she babbles just to make sure she's still alive. Maybe after two months I'll get over this phase

*She only loves her nightly bath time if she's on her tummy. She is already kicking those little frog legs like CRAZY! Video coming soon...

*She is THEE strongest baby I have ever encountered. Honestly! She's been holding her head up since day one, and now she thinks she can stand on those legs of hers and sit up by herself! I keep telling her to just relax and enjoy being a baby, but she hasn't quite listened to me yet.

*She is also the most little miss Independent... Sometimes it frustrates me because she acts like she wants to do everything on her own already. Like when I'm trying to breast feed and I hold her arms back so I can get her mouth connected, she freaks out! She has a bit of an attitude, she most definitely gets this from her dad ;)

*Which brings me to my next one, she really does NOT like having her arms tied down. I've tried swaddling her and this Houdini baby always ends up with her arms by her face. And, you guessed it, If she doesn't have her arms by her face, she is VERY upset, and she will let you know!

*When we were at the doctors office, the first thing he commented on was her great lungs she has. Which was a nice way of saying, Your baby cries WAY loud! Our poor neighbors...Good thing we are moving soon!

*Her mom has spoiled her just a little because I never want to put her down! I love snuggling with her, and would do it all day if my house would automatically clean itself! So now she thinks it's OK to cry because she knows mommy will come get her out of the swing, even if she's only been in it for two minutes. I'm such a sucker, I'll be the first to admit that. 

*She had quite a few blow outs the first few weeks. But after we figured out her newborn diapers were too small and we switched to a bigger size, problem solved!

*When I sing to her, she gazes at me with those beautiful blue eye's and it just melts my heart. Her eye's are VERY blue and that hair of hers is already starting to look blonde. I can't believe how light it's gotten in just a few weeks.

*Her hair also likes to do WHATEVER it wants. I try combing it, but it sticks straight up and every which way after ten minutes. We're already going to need hair product in this child's hair!

*I love how she's already starting to smile. She mostly does them while she's dozing off to sleep, but they are the sweetest little smiles. 

We've loved every single second of this past month that we've had with our B. This little miss is SO loved and overly spoiled, but we wouldn't have it any other way.
