Don't Fret The Small Stuff

September... My brother has been in the MTC for 5 whole days now! I got an e-mail this morning which was WAY more more exciting than I even expected! He is doing amazing and has already been made zone leader! We created him a personal "Mission Blog" that my sister and I are in charge of while he's away. For those of you who want to see how this handsome young fellow is doing check into elderjustineaton.blogspot.com. I sort-of forced him to do this because I saw this fabulous website that you can bind all of your blog posts into a book. I thought this was a perfect idea to keep pictures, stories, memories and bind his whole Missionary Life into a blog book. Smart Idea right? {thank goodness for Pinterest} Anyways! I'm going to go through our "September Stuff" in pictures.... This PYT {pretty young thing) Had a birthday!! It was So great spending it at my house with the ENTIRE Familia.. She blew out all the candles, in case you were wondering ;) Ok, I'm slightly embarrassed to repeat this story, but for records sake I just have to. On Tuesday night before Justin left to the MTC, the whole fam went to the Timpanogos Temple. What a spiritual experience right? WRONG... Not when The Eaton Family is involved. So here we are going through a nice session.... I look over at my mom and she has "THE MOM EYE'S", you know the ones where you just look at her and you KNOW you're in trouble. YIKES! So I follow her scary eye's over to the boys to see who these were intended for. And sure enough, there was my daddios, Justin, Brent and Mitch all looking over at us with the "guilty eye's". I then take a look at my sister who is sitting next to me only to notice, "THE MOM EYE's" on her as well! So, I have yet to know what was going on, but I whipped my head around and gave the best "MOM EYE's" I could give (I haven't had any practice yet alright!) So I asked my sister what we were glaring at the boys for {whispering of course, I mean Hello we are in the temple here!} She told me she wasn't exactly sure, but she was following mom's lead. So I leaned over a little farther and asked my mom what was going on! We made it to the Celestial room {without getting struck down by lightening surprisingly} and we got Brent's side of the story... HE SAID, he was looking over at my dad who looked like he was bawling into his hands, and then he looked over at Justin who was laughing hysterically {Nose plugged and all} Then he told Justin it was messed up that he was laughing at his crying dad.... JUSTIN'S side of the story: HE said my dad's tummy grumbled super loud and for a solid MINUTE and my dad just LOST IT, so then of course my brother lost it, and then Brent lost it and then Mitch had a few giggles in there which leads us to the beginning of the story with "The MOM EYE's" Given by the girls to the boy. I have to agree with them SLIGHTLY, that when you're supposed to be quiet, that's when things seem to be the funniest and you can't hold in your laughter... Needless to say we had a wonderful time at the temple, all laughing aside it really was {ahem} a Spiritual experience for the Eaton Family. Definitely a Temple Trip never to be forgotten! We even ended it with a {Silent} Eaton Family cheer! I know, we are horrible. But we have a good time! THEN comes the MTC legendary curbside drop off.... Let me paint you a little picture of how my brother and I's goodbye's went... My mom and dad were in the front seat [bawling their little hearts out] while my brother and I were in the back seat saying our heart felt goodbye's, which went a little something like this..... Me- "I hate goodbye's......" Justin- (his index finger on my lip saying..) SHHHHHH Just go.... {imagine the scene from dumb and dumber???} Yes, this was our goodbye, but it kept me laughing instead of bawling my eye's out alongside my parents. We all jumped out of the car, some other Elders grabbed his luggage and he waved goodbye, never to look back... And when I say Never looking back, I mean NEVER LOOKING BACK! My dad was like, "Rozalynn, get a picture of Justin walking away with the other missionaries." So I run after him, trying to catch up and take a picture of him looking like a crazy person, all the while I can hear my dad behind me yelling at the top of his lungs, " JUSTIN, JUSTIN WAIT! JUSTIN, JUSTIN WAIT WE WANT ANOTHER PICTURE, JUSTIN WAIT!!" Haha I'm laughing out loud just thinking about it. My dad was devested he never turned around, but you better believe I got that picture by golly.... This is also where I yelled, "GOODBYE MY LOVE!" in hopes that my brother might turn around for my picture.... Ok not really. But he would have loved that I'm sure! WHEW, so Justin is gone, my parents and sister went back home and I survived my first week back at school. Mitch and I sat on the couch Friday night, we looked at each other, both knowing what the other was thinking... So without saying a word we packed up our bags and headed down to Logan to play with our nieces and nephews and hang out with Brad for the weekend. This was Carter at his soccer game.. He made a SUPERSTAR kick and scored a goal for his team. (We had to split up, us at Carter's game, Brad at Ryen's game because they were at the same time on opposite sides of town... Little Ry Ry scored 4 GOALS FOR HER TEAM! What a little rock star right?) And here is little Jack Jack screaming and yelling for his big bro.. Ok I know I'm full of stories today, but I have to share a few. This kid is seriously the funniest little guy on the PLANET! I hung out with him all day on Saturday and literally had a side ache from laughing so hard. So we were at the Soccer game and I took him over to the little park to play for a minute. So here's Jack at the top of the slide, ready to come down and there is a kid standing at the bottom of the slide. Jack yells as loud as he can, "HEY, BOY! GET OUT OF MY WAY!" HAHA that poor boy looked at me, and I was just thinking to myself, "Welp, you heard the little man...get out of his way!" Mitch is going to kill me for this, but Jack was out helping Brad and Mitch in the garage, ya know... doing guy stuff. So Mitch let's a little toot... Jack-"Mitch, what happened to your butt??" Mitch-"What do you mean Jack?" (trying not to laugh) Jack-"I mean, what happened to your butt!" We got a big kick out of that one. This kid needs to be a stand up comedian, he says the funniest things without even noticing what's going on. Brad said he got all of his sense of humor from his mother. OK! Last picture I swear, and if you made it through this entire post.... kudos to you! Can you believe that this is baby Charlie? She is getting so big and more and more beautiful everyday.. She weighs 11 pounds and 4 ounces. I had so much fun just snuggling her and making her giggle and smile. We got a few video's of her laughing and they are possibly the cutest things I've caught on video. She is such a little angel baby and I can't wait till Mitch and I head back up to Logan to spend more precious time with Brad and the kids.. One thing Brad said to Mitch and I this weekend was, "Don't fret the small stuff, life is too short to worry about the small things. Only worry about the things that really matter in life." Mitch and I couldn't agree more....

I can't believe you have to drop them off at the curb nowadays!!! So sad!! Love all the pics of your cute family and love the temple story. I once got the giggles while James & I were doing sealings. Whoops! :) And I don't blame you with the no-bakes. I used to not like them too, but all the sudden I like them!! :) Maybe you just need to try MY recipe. ;) haha!
