Christmas 2013

Christmas this year was a little different. We had to move in with my parents because our lease was up on our townhouse. They wanted us to sign another year, but our house is going to be done in February.
So into the parentals basement we went. I feel like we were anticipating NEXT Christmas too much to really enjoy this one. The entire month we were wishing we had our own house to start our own traditions and have our own decorations and what not. So, pretty much we were in scrooge mode this year ;) We even said not to buy each other presents because we bought a new washer and dryer and refrigerator so that counted as our "Christmas gifts" for this year. But our baby girl sure was spoiled! Christmas morning was definitely amazing. She slept in till almost 10! We tried at least three times to wake her up and she wasn't having it. But when she finally did wake up, we took her upstairs and she ran and looked under the Christmas tree and simply whispered, "WOW". She was enthralled with all the new toys and presents under the tree. She makes everything so much better...Even though it wasn't our ideal Christmas, we still had lots of fun memories with our friends and families. But we most definitely can't wait until next year for our first Christmas in our new home...We did take Brikelle to her very first movie on Christmas day. Frozen! A new favorite at our house. She sings, "Let it Go" all day, everyday. Probably the cutest thing ever. Now for the picture overload….

We took a last minute trip to Salt Lake to see the lights at Temple Square. It was a nice little get away. We stayed in a Marriott and enjoyed a little family time in Utah.
