5 Months

Brikelle is now 5 months old and is on the move! She conquered scooting backwards and is now trying to master the forward scoot. I told Mitch, I give her two weeks and she'll be crawling everywhere. It's crazy how mobile she is. Everyone who see's her is amazed at how strong and coordinated she is, especially at this age. I always thought she was strong, but I think everything my baby does is simply amazing. So it's fun as a mom when I hear others agree ;)
If I would have wrote this blog post at her real 5 month mark I would say she still is having some major stranger anxiety. But this past weekend we went to Logan for my nieces baptism and she was an angel baby! She usually doesn't do well around lots of noise and a big crowd of people, but she was letting everyone hold her and wasn't even making a peep! THIS NEVER HAPPENS! I would watch her get passed from my brother in law to his friend Marianne and I was just WAITING for her to pucker out that bottom lip and let out her legendary scream. But it never happened. I was seriously so proud of her. She usually acts this way when it's just me and her and home, but with others around she's usually pretty naughty. So I loved that other people could enjoy her happy personality. She is all smiles and always on the move.
Going back to work has been the hardest thing I've ever had to do. I miss hanging out with my best friend all day. But it's good for her to be around other people {so they tell me}I almost started bawling the other day because usually she greets her mom with a HUGE smile! But this day I left before she woke up and didn't get home till almost 7! I went to grab her and she totally snubbed me and turned her nose in the opposite direction. I followed her face and everywhere I tried to look at her she would move the opposite way. It literally broke my heart. She was mad at her mom for leaving her so much. I almost called and quit right then! My mom told me to get used to it, but I'm not so sure I can!
Our girl is in the awkard in-between stage where she's too big for her 3-6 month clothes but the 6 month clothes are a little too big. She's still in size two diapers. She tried banana's, apples, beans, potatoes, carrots, ice cream, A1 sauce, applesauce, and a few other table foods that she tries grabbing. She thinks she's a big girl and tries to drink out of our cups {which she actually does pretty good}. She is starting to love her car seat and can play by herself in the back seat without crying. We can put her on the floor and she will entertain herself for hours. She talks to mom and dad every night for at least 30 minutes to tell us about her day. She talks in her sleep. SO basically she talks A LOT! Hmm there are probably a thousand other things I could say about this girl. Bu I guess I'll be done bragging about this sweet child of mine {until next month that is. I still can't wrap my head around the fact that she will be half a year this month!!}
Mom loves you baby B and couldn't be more proud of the little lady you are becoming. I hope you stay as sweet and happy as you are right now. love you to pieces always and forever. Love, Mom

I know how hard it is to leave your child to go back to work. I had to leave Mannix at 2 months old. It is the hardest thing you do. It will still be hard most days, but trust me it does get better. Especially when they get a little older, it just becomes a routine for them. She is a doll and I can't believe she is already 5 months!
